This project began as a personal exploration of blending anime culture with iconic sneaker design. As a long-time admirer of both Nike’s Air Force line and One Piece, I wanted to imagine what it would look like if these two worlds collided. The concept draws inspiration from Luffy’s Gear 5 mode a transformation full of energy, freedom, and creativity and reimagines it through the lens of Nike’s futuristic design language. My goal was not only to create a visually striking sneaker but also to showcase how pop culture and fashion can merge into something bold, modern, and wearable. Above all, this project reflects my passion for pushing boundaries in design, turning imaginative ideas into compelling visuals. Like my other projects, it was created purely from my own creativity as a personal concept, not a commercial collaboration.

The objective of this personal project was to design a Nike Air Force shoe inspired by Luffy’s Gear 5 mode. The goal was to create a bold, dynamic, and visually striking concept that showcases my creativity, conveys energy and motion, and highlights a wearable, high-quality design.

The approach combined inspiration from anime-themed fashion with creative sneaker design, translating Luffy’s Gear 5 energy into a dynamic, wearable, and visually striking Nike Air Force shoe concept.
I approached this project by drawing inspiration from an online store I discovered that sold anime-themed shoes, clothing, and accessories. This sparked the idea to merge sneaker design with anime aesthetics. I focused on capturing Luffy’s Gear 5 energy through dynamic shapes, bold colors, and playful details, while ensuring the shoe remained stylish, wearable, and true to the Nike Air Force shoe identity. Iterative sketches and digital mockups helped refine the concept, balancing creativity with visual cohesion.
Process
The process involved researching anime-inspired fashion, sketching bold design concepts, iterating on colorways and details, and refining the shoe to balance creativity, wearability, and brand identity.
The process began with exploring anime-inspired footwear and streetwear trends, analyzing existing online stores for inspiration. I sketched multiple design directions, experimented with dynamic color palettes and materials, and iteratively refined each concept. Attention was given to balancing visual impact, practicality, and brand cohesion, resulting in a unique, wearable, and imaginative shoe design.
